Arguments & Scholarly Conversation (after reading peer's papers)
- I found that the most clear arguments that used scholarly evidence was when a scholar was directly quoted or his/her point of view was shared, analyzed, then discussed.
- Other methods my peers used were to include facts... this got me thinking to do the same, but possibly to also use history to support my argument for the prompt
- As I was typing my comments, I became aware of things I would need to do/fix in my own paper -- such as really outlining beforehand and tying each paragraph back to my thesis
- Having a strong thesis will help me in my argument, and I can then use scholarly evidence as my supports for each detailed point I bring up
